The young people of Aspire Scotland Education wowed the local community, parents, carers and professionals in support of Who Cares? Scotland by putting on a tremendous Christmas Fayre within the Radio City community campus.
Principal Teacher Natalie Martin, as well as her colleagues Tom Laurie and Gillian Hayes inspired the children and young people of Aspire Scotland Education to host a great event that included a raffle, several stalls and festive hospitality for visiting guests. All the items at the stall were handmade and proved to be extremely popular with some items selling out in no time. Anthea Dickson, SNP Counsellor for Kilbirnie and Beith on North Ayrshire Council was in attendance and was very impressed with the effort put in by the young people: “There was lots of cheer, laughter, goods on sale and plenty of lovely edible goodies! It is great to see Aspire’s links to the community and a welcome addition to the town’s preparations for Christmas.”
The event raised £285.93 and the team have decided to donate the takings to Who Cares? Scotland in support of their quest to support care experienced people to have their voice heard.
