Our brilliant (and crazy) team from Woodend Farm continued their charitable efforts by participating in the inaugural BUY MSH (buy Malcolm Sargent House) charity zip slide.
Ashton Havlin, Ainsley Mair, Chloe Mae and Charlie zipped over the River Ayr and raised an impressive £250 for Malcolm Sargent House, a new respite house in Ayrshire for children, young people and their families with cancer and other life altering illnesses.
While both young people were nervous before the event started, they showed tremendous courage and team spirit in acknowledgement of a great cause. Both girls may have completed the zip slide but there feet have yet to touch the floor, Chloe Mae stated “this was the best day ever and can I do it again” and Charlie stated “this was awesome and I would love to do it again”.
Maxine Allan, CEO of BUY MSH, was so impressed with the efforts of both young people that she is keen to offer opportunities to Charlie, Chloe Mae and their peers for work placements and volunteering within MSH.
Staff within Woodend Farm are keen to continue their charity work and raise money and awareness for cancer support, a cause close to their hearts, as Aspire Scotland looks forward to further partnership working with BUY MSH & cancer support charities.
